The international touring variety company Tainted Cabaret, comprised of artists from America, Canada, Europe and Russia, will be presented at Petra's Bar 03/17 on the Charlotte stop of their 26-date national tour of the States. Bringing together four phenomenal acts direct from New York City's booming variety scene, Tainted Cabaret is a feel-good, adults only extravaganza you'll never forget! Weird, wonderful and totally inspirational, the show features burlesque starlet Ula Uberbusen (USA), the comedy performer Wilfredo (Europe), circus artist Miss Ekaterina (Russia) and boylesque act James and the Giant Pasty (Canada). The company will travel to cities including Atlanta, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Denver, Dallas, Houston, New Orleans and Philadelphia before closing in New York City mid- April. Ula Uberbusen is a performer and producer of such touring hits as Twirly Whirly Burly-Q and Victrola Burlesque. Recently seen in the award-winning New York burlesque film The Cruel Tale of The Medicine Man, Ula performs regularly across the country and has been featured in countless festivals. The adorable Wilfredo is the legendary lover with the tight pants, big teeth and a voice to die for. He has toured internationally, from comedy festivals in Edinburgh, Melbourne, Singapore and South Africa, to the intimate cabaret rooms of London, Prague, Buenos Aires and beyond. A powerhouse performer, Wilfredo has two albums, a documentary short and a legion of adoring fans under his belt, particularly in New York City where his late-night performances at the Slipper Room have become the stuff of legend. Miss Ekaterina is a variety artist whose work encompasses circus, contortion, burlesque, high-wire, aerial and beyond. A former Miss Coney Island, Miss Ekaterina has also appeared in Julie Taymor's Beatles movie musical Across the Universe. Born in Russia, where she trained as a rhythmic gymnast - she was once a member of the Russian National Team - she joined the Antigravity dance troupe before moving Stateside. James and the Giant Pasty's credits include the Burlesque Hall of Fame, the New York and Vienna Boylesque Festivals, Toronto, Kitchener and Ottawa Pride, The Feminist Porn Awards, and The Life Ball in Vienna. He is also the founder and artistic director of BoylesqueTO, Canada's Premiere All-Male Burlesque Troupe. In 2014 James was featured in the television documentary I'm A Stripper: Boylesque (LOGO, OutTV), after scandalizing his home nation with a notorious appearance on Canada's Got Talent.
