Reenactment of African American Women of the Civil War

A reenactment of African American women during the Civil War including a doctor, a classical songstress, abolitionists and an author, will bring to life stories of struggle, triumph and success through drama and storytelling. The reenactment will be performed by Female Reenactors of Distinction (FREED,) an auxiliary organization of the African American Civil War Museum in Washington, D.C.
