The 21st Annual Juneteenth Festival of the Carolinas

The 21st Annual Juneteenth Festival of the Carolinas is a 4-day celebration which takes place at Thomas and Commonwealth Avenues, in the heart of the Plaza Midwood community in Charlotte, NC. The Festival begins on Thursday, June 14th and ends Sunday, June 17th. There will be multi-cultural vendors, African drumming, dancing, live jazz, R&B and reggae music, children's activities, workshops, exhibits, speakers, health screenings and more. During festival dates, attendees will enjoy "food" for the mind, body, and soul with the following highlights being showcased: Thursday (June 14) Youth Culture Camp at Piedmont Open Middle School (from 9 A.M. - 5 P.M.); Friday (June 15) International Drum Circle on Thomas Avenue (from 6 P. M. - 10 P.M.); Saturday (June 16) Festival activities begin on Thomas and Commonwealth Avenues with a Fitness Extravaganza at 8 A.M. Festival activities continue throughout the day until 10 P.M.; Sunday (June 17th) Festivities begin with church service at 10 AM followed by a Gospel Fest. Festival activities including live music, vendors, speakers and more continue on Thomas and Commonwealth Avenues until 9 P.M.
