A Journey in Images: Beacons of the East Coast Photography Exhibit

Photography, Art Show

Mooresville photographer, Bart Mauceri Jr,'s A Journey in Images photography exhibit is coming back to the Mooresville Public Library from June 1st through August 31st. This year's A Journey in Images exhibit, is titled,” The Beacons of the East Coast” focusing on one of Mauceri's specialties...lighthouses, from Portland, Maine down to Savannah, Georgia. There may be more exhibit pieces to come. His love of lighthouses started with a visit, as a child, to Jeffrey's Hook Lighthouse (aka, the “Little Red Lighthouse”) overlooking the Hudson River in New York City. As an adult, he visited almost every lighthouse in the northeastern US, and continued capturing the historic beacons along the Carolina coast, Virginia Beach, Virginia and all the way down to Savannah, Georgia. Mauceri's lighthouse journey isn't over, as he plan a trip down to Florida, and possibly a return trip to New England in the near future. On Saturday, June 1st, from 11am- 1pm, there will be an opening reception in the Selma Burke Room, also located in the Library. It is free and open to the public. For more information about the exhibit, or interested in purchasing the exhibited pieces please contact Bart Mauceri Jr. at (704)-660-3439 or Mooresville Public Library's Special Collection Room at (704) 664-2927.
