Bloom: Group Exhibition

Art Show

Lark & Key presents BLOOM on view June 1st through July 31st. The gallery will be in full ‘Bloom’, with a mixed media group exhibition featuring botanical and floral inspired art. Participating artists include Katrina Berg, Elizabeth Davant, Kim Ferreria, Diane Hoeptner, Duy Huynh, Judy Klich, Eleanor Miller and Vicki Sawyer. Artwork is complimented by ceramics from Asta Bubliene, Kristin Keiffer and Jennifer Mecca, with jewelry by Marian Miller. Guest artists Elizabeth Davant and Eleanor Miller both find the outdoors a calming, inspiring source of inspiration. Davant’s paintings are primarily informed by her time spent in the Appalachian Mountains. She is “mesmerized by fog lifting from the mountains and the way rain and mist blur the atmosphere and image". Working from her Charlotte based studio, Davant manipulates her oil and cold wax surfaces by creating layers of texture and soft color that foster a sense of peace and connection. Eleanor Miller’s Connecticut studio sits among sprawling fields surrounded by dense woods and big sky, landscape that amazes her and directly affects her ethereal oil paintings. For Miller, the “natural world nourishes the human spirit and heightens one’s sense of place and wellbeing”. Join Lark & Key Friday May 31st from 6-9pm for a preview of BLOOM, with local artists Elizabeth Davant and Duy Huynh in attendance. The gallery is located in Dilworth, at 700 East Blvd, Ste 1. Regular retail hours are Wednesday through Friday from 10-3, and during a once-a-month open house every second weekend of the month (Second Saturdays 10-3 and Second Sundays 12-3). The gallery is also open for special events and by appointment.
