Gordon Lightfoot


Canada's own Gordon Lightfoot has recorded some 200 songs and written many more during his nearly five-decade career. His breakthrough came in 1970 with, "If You Could Read My Mind." That song was followed by other hits, including the 1975 classic "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald."

Kacey Musgraves


The social-media savvy country artist Kacey Musgraves is the straight-shooting no-nonsense everywoman (with otherworldly songwriting ability) we all think we're just like. Unlike the rest of us, though, she won two Grammy Awards for her 2013 debut album, "Same Trailer Different Park." Her fourth album, "Golden Hour," debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard country chart and received multiple Grammy nominations. "Golden Hour," is full of love songs Musgraves wrote herself during her courtship with the singer-songwriter Ruston Kelly. The pair married in 2018.

The Head & The Heart


Composed largely of transplants to the Seattle area, The Head and the Heart came together in the summer of 2009, during frequent visits to the open mic night at Conor Byrne in Seattle's Ballard neighborhood. They write and play songs that speak to the newness of a fresh start, of the ghosts left behind, of moving forward, all brimming with a soulfulness and hope for a better life than the one everyone's been sold.

Ray LaMontagne is an American singer-songwriter. It has been said that he decided to quit his job at a shoe factory and start a music career after hearing a Stephen Stills song on the radio. Since then he has toured internationally and released many studio albums. His hit song "Trouble," as well as many others have been featured in a variety of films and television shows.

Bill Engvall

Stand Up Comedy

Making audiences howl is what this Texas native has been doing since his 'Here's Your Sign' album took the country-music industry by surprise. Engvall is a disc jockey-turned-comedian who has since earned acclaim for his platinum-selling comedy albums, joining fellow funnymen Jeff Foxworthy, Ron White and Larry the Cable Guy on the Blue Collar Comedy tours and numerous TV specials. Engvall has also branched out into acting, starring in his own sitcom and appearing on episodes of 'Leverage' and 'Hawthorne.'

John Prine


When Chicago's own John Prine left his post-office job to become a musician, he was immediately labeled "the new Bob Dylan" for his socially conscious songs. For over thirty years, Prine has explored styles ranging from folk & blues to country & rockabilly, never settling on one element to pigeonhole his creative output. Prine won a 1991 Grammy award for his album, 'The Missing Years,' which included guest appearances by Bruce Springsteen, Bonnie Raitt & Tom Petty.
