Photo Bird walk with Joe Amodeo

Animals

Take a walk with wildlife photographer and avid birder Joe Amodeo, also a volunteer at Carolina Raptor Center. You can join in two Sundays a month through November, starting on September 23. Cost for this event is $15/members and $20/general public. Pre-registration at least 24 hours before the scheduled time is required. Minimum 2; maximum 6 people. This event occurs every two weeks starting September 23 and ends on November 18

Photo Wild at Carolina Raptor Center

Nature

Amateur and professional photographers alike will enjoy this professional photo shoot featuring Carolina Raptor Center's resident raptors. Each day highlights over 20 different raptors in unique settings each day. The morning starts with an early-bird breakfast at 7:30 a.m., followed by six, thirty-minute sessions, ending around 11 am. Each day will start with a free-flight rotation with some of our flight show superstars. Prices for one day attendance or a weekend pass

Wildlife Photographer Class with Dick Handsaw

This weekend photography experience is only offered twice a year by the Carolina Raptor Center. In addition to expert instruction, you will have an opportunity to photo the stars of the Raptor Center collection both for portraits and in flight. The second day will include a nature photography walk led by Ron Clark of the Mecklenburg Audubon Society. Limited to 12 participants $60 Members/Volunteers; $100 General Pubic
